Bai Mu Dan 白牡丹, or White Peony Tea, is a classic style of white tea made of young tea leaves and silver leaf buds.
Legendary harvested in pluck-sets of “A bud and 2 leaves”, this tea leaves a sensual mouthfeel character. A gentle air-dry withering process brings about a lustrous golden infusion, slightly fuller body than that of the Silver Needle, with a muscadel-like viscosity and mellow floral fragrance that pairs well with all cuisines.
